Aggressive Attorneys And Litigators Protecting Your Rights

Why do bartenders have a high divorce rate?

The way that you make your living does impact your odds of divorce. That's not to say it's the only factor, but it is something that you want to keep in mind. Certain careers tend to put more stress on marriages, and the statistics back it up.

For instance, did you know that bartenders have a divorce rate of 38.43%, the second-highest of all occupations, according to one study? They trailed only "dancers and choreographers" at 43.05%. Next on the list were massage therapists, at 38.22%.

Why is the divorce rate so high for bartenders? One big issue may simply be the hours that they have to work. If they stay out until 2:00 a.m. for work and don't get home until 3:00 a.m., a spouse with a "normal" job may be waking up just a few hours later. They go to work before the bartender gets out of bed. Then, almost as soon as they return from work, the bartender is heading back out for another shift. Keep in mind that bars are also busiest on the weekends.

In short, their schedules are just completely opposite of one another. A couple may love each other, but can their relationship stay strong when they never see one another? Will they remain romantically involved if they don't spend time together outside of the occasional vacation? This line of work can slowly cause the relationship to erode until they decide to end it.

No matter what line of work you are in, if you do find yourself facing divorce, be sure you know what legal steps to take.
